Kangatraining is a fun, safe, multi award-winning postnatal workout for Mums and Bubs incorporating babywearing, cardio and dance. In my day job I am an Early childhood nutritionist with a passion for empowering parents. As a mum myself I loved attending Kangatraining and love that I now can pass this on to other Mums as an instructor. Health is not just about what we eat but is also about mental and physical health. Kangatraining assists with both of these as it allows us time to bond with our babies whilst brining movement back into our post natal lives. Kangatraining is a complete workout during which both cardiovascular endurance/flexibility and muscular capacity/strength are enhanced. Unlike traditional exercise classes, new mums need not worry about finding a babysitter or minding an unsettled baby during class because the babies are worn on them and get to be part of the action! As well as the physical benefits, the opportunity to meet other local mums in a fun, relaxed environment boosts their emotional wellbeing. The pelvic floor and abdominal muscles as well as correct posture are given special attention. Kangatrainers are also trained in babywearing best practices and can help mums ensure the safest and most comfortable carrying positions for their babies. As mums of young children themselves, Kangatraining instructors understand that embarking on a post-baby fitness program can be daunting. All instructors are fully certified, having completed a training course in Melbourne, first aid certifications, and exams in anatomy, postnatal health, and babywearing safety.
